The airport sits just a few kilometres from central Gazipasha, so a taxi ride into town usually takes under ten minutes. The drive to central Alanya along the coastal road is about forty minutes, and popular resorts east of Alanya (Mahmutlar, Kargıcak, Demirtaş, Avsallar) are between thirty minutes and an hour and a half away.

GZP operates with a single main passenger terminal handling both international and domestic flights. The layout is compact: the exit, arrivals hall and taxi rank are all within a short walk. This makes the airport especially convenient for families and travellers with large luggage — every step goes quickly.

The flight schedule changes noticeably from season to season. In summer the airport is at its busiest, with charter and scheduled flights arriving from many European countries as well as domestic services from Istanbul and Ankara.
