Antalya: First Residence Permit Approvals in Previously Restricted Areas
Real estate agents and immigration consultants report the first successful approvals of initial residence permits in Antalya districts that were previously closed to new applicants. One of the most notable examples is the popular Hurma neighborhood.
According to market participants, the government’s e-ikamet system has been updated, allowing applicants to select certain areas that were previously unavailable during the application process. Until recently, the system blocked applications for these addresses.
There has been no official announcement from the Turkish Directorate General of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi) so far. However, professionals in the field state that document submissions under the updated process are already being accepted in practice.
